The International Stunt Academy (The ISA) is a Global Brand and Network of experts specialising in stunts, action acting, and action content. Our Professional Network and Stunt Team (Team ISA) train, educate, advise, campaign, and perform internationally. The ISA also licenses and operates schools and courses around the world. Our premier training facility, The International Stunt Academy Vocational School, is located in Norway and offers our signature 1 Year Diploma in Action Acting and Stunt Performance. This Diploma is accredited by NOKUT and it is the highest academic achievement available in the industry.

Our Governance
The International Stunt Academy AS is governed by a board and advisors, many of whom are independent of daily operations. The Board, Governors, and Advisors are a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of experts dedicated to raising standards and quality in our field. They ensure that The ISA and its courses operate correctly, safely, and in line with our vision, mission, beliefs, and values, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

The ISA Group
The ISA Group, a UK holding company, oversees the delivery and quality of all our courses, training, and facilities internationally. It also manages our brand and products and serves as the R&D centre for The ISA. Within our group, we have our academies, a talent management agency, a property division, and a research and development unit.

Our areas of business
The ISA primarily operates as an academic Academy, dedicated to the research, development, and the provision of access to the best education and training for Stunt Performers, Actors and the people who work with or interface with them. We do also have a commercial division which operates independently to produce and deliver production services, products and to provide talent on demand across a wide range of requirements. This includes The ISA Agency, which represents and manages Stunt Performers, Actors, Directors, Coordinators and specialists in the field of Stunts, Film & TV, Live entertainments and creativity. 

Our accreditations and licenses
The International Stunt Academy Fagskole (vocational School) based in Norway operates under license from The ISA and it is regulated by NOKUT. The ISA Diploma offered in Norway is a formal academic qualification and the course is Accredited by NOKUT. This helps to ensure we operate to some of the highest educational standards and practices in the world.  The International Stunt Academy also operates or oversees ISA Branded courses and facilities internationally, many of which are delivered under license, which means the trainers and instructors, methods, facilities and equipment used have been checked, certified and approved by The ISA as meeting our high standards.  

ISA Qualifications and Certifications
The ISA Diploma in Stunt Performance and Action Acting, delivered at The ISA in Norway is a Diploma course, accredited by NOKUT, that generates 60 ECTS points. The ISA also offers short courses in Norway and Internationally that award Certificates of Competency or Completion. These Certifications are not NOKUT accredited but the courses are designed and operated to the same standards as used in our Diploma Course.  ISA Short Course Certificates demonstrate that the performer has attended the course, met high standards in their work and safety and completed the course successfully. While many ISA Short Courses are a mirror of Diploma Course modules, some are not and are specifically designed for rapid training more suited to working professionals or are designed as taster experiences. ISA Short courses do not generate ECTS points and cannot be added up to gain a Diploma, or seen as an equivalent to a Diploma.

ISA & the Law
In order to create and operate The International Stunt Academy a special area of law had to be created, refined and put into legislation. You can find out more about our laws and governance here. We operate within and are governed by the laws and jurisdiction of the country of Norway, a nation we are proud to call home and to support. 

Organisations & Memberships 
  1. We are a member of Lånekassen, who provide study grants and loans to many of our students
  2. We are a member of Erasmus+, which enabling many international opportunities for partnerships and collaborations which benefit students and organisations, assisting us all to share best practice and develop exciting new opportunities
  3. We are also members, partners and affiliates of many film boards and unions within Norway and internationally
