What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is a combat martial art with military origins famed for its use by the IDF and many tactical forces worldwide. It's based on the World World II fighting format of Imi Lichtenstein. Increasingly Krav Maga is appearing in film and TV fight sequences but its teaching style is a barrier to many people taking courses (They are famously tough!). 

Why is it so useful for Screenfighting and Fight Choreo?
The dynamic structure of Krav Maga is very well suited to a variety of combat situations and particularly well suited to countering weapons, mixed attacks and martial arts and also combating single or multiple attackers. The moves you'll learn are fast, precise, they translate brilliantly to the screen and can really broaden your range of options when creating and choreographing fight sequences. In addition to this, being real world moves they also keep you safe if choreo goes wrong or someone misses their mark.

How does this course differ from Standard Krav Maga training?
This course is run by a Qualified Senior Krav Maga instructor who's experience covers both real world applications and also Stunts and Acting for TV & Film.

'Krav Maga for Screenfighting' takes all the same moves used in Krav Maga, repurposes them for safe application in fight choreography and stunt settings, and dials down the teaching style to make it faster and easier to go through in a safe and controlled environment. 

What does this course cover?

1. Basics and Stance
2. Mindset and Training Strategy
3. A variety of Strikes
   (elbows, fists, palms, knees, kicks, etc, etc. Make your whole body a weapon)
4. Takedowns & Chokes
   (a broad variety of methods to handle, takedown and incapacitate opponents)
5. Breaking out and reversals of chokes
   (how to escape and reverse takedowns and chokes)
6. Application of these into your Fight Choreographies
7. Pressure testing
   (going through the motions in a simulated exercise) 
8. Filming your work for showreels

This course delivers a certificate of completion.  All footage is yours to keep and use in your reels. 

Options to extend your visit and upgrade with Fire Stunts, High Falls and a variety of other training and experiences, including custom packages.

Terms & Conditions

General Provisions

1. Course Duration and Dates: The training will be conducted over a period of 5 days. Check with ISA for specific upcoming dates.
2. Training Methods: The course utilised hands-on training exercises, and scenario-based training exercises.
3. Prerequisites: Participants should be in good physical condition to engage in moderate physical activities. Any medical conditions or injuries should be disclosed prior to starting.

Facilities & Equipment

1. Training Weapons: Training knives, firearms and related equipment will be provided. All weapons are supplied, do not bring your own. The weapons used are safe training props meant for these courses.
2. Safety Gear: Please bring your stunts pads and groin guard. If you have other martial arts pads and gloves these can be useful.
3. Facility Use: Includes access to ISA's broad range of gyms and facilities during your stay.

Accommodations & Transportation

1. Accommodation: Options are available; please contact ISA for more details.
2. Transport: ISA can arrange pickup and dropoff to and from the local station, nearest airport and hotels.

Financial Terms

1. Course Fee: The fee covers the training and equipment used. Food and drinks are not included.
2. Damage: Any damage caused by negligence or failure to adhere to safety guidelines will result in additional charges.

Safety & Conduct

1. Safety Briefing: There will be a safety briefings daily. Attendance at the initial safety briefing is mandatory for participation in that day's training. Don't be late!
2. Compliance: All participants must adhere to the safety protocols and instructions given by the instructors at all times.
3. Termination: ISA reserves the right to terminate the training of any individual found in violation of safety protocols, without a refund.

Media Release

1. Filming: Participants will be filmed during the training. By attending the course, you consent to the recording and use of this footage by ISA. Participants are also welcome to film themselves training and performing - this and the film / photo package from the course can be used in your Social Media and Reels

Liability Waiver

1. Waiver: All participants are required to sign a liability waiver before the commencement of the course.
