Welcome to Blade Week (Level 1)

Special Guest Instructor: Nick 'The Blade' Khan
The International Stunt Academy offers an exclusive and action packed 5-day Blade Fighting (Lvls-1-3) Workshop for Screen Fighters and Fight Choreographers, in partnership with
Nick 'The Blade' Khan.

Nick's pedigree in this field is beyond question. We actually dare anyone to pickup a knife and test him! Nick is ex-British Army, specialised in blade fighting and edged weapons (real world and adapted for screenfighting / stage combat).

Alongside teaching his own bladefighting style 'Soldier X', which Nick derived and developed from his Military service and combat training experiences, Nick's credits also include Acting, Action Design and Stunt Coordination for Features including Marvel Films and many TV series.  Nick's been a guest instructor at The ISA for over a year now and he's honestly one of the fastest knives you'll ever witness, but also most importantly a really great instructor!

During this course you'll learn and practice
  • Rapid Progression through Basic to Advanced Knife fighting techniques using a condensed version of Nick's SoldierX Training Programme
  • Blocks, returns and knife strips
  • Anatomy of Attack: Slashes, cuts and Stabs
  • Defensive Techniques useful to extend Choreo's and keep the action razor sharp
  • Development of a Killer Choreography
  • One the final day you'll participate in a Previs which will be filmed. After the course you'll receive a short edited clip which you can use for your Acting / Stunt Reel

This course is suited for beginners and professionals. Upon completion we will issue a Certificate of Completion.
