The ISA is the world’s first fully accredited academy dedicated to
​the art and science of Stunt Performance and Action Acting. Our Diploma (1-year course) is the highest Academic Qualification in Action Acting and Stunt Performance that you can achieve, anywhere in the world. 

Alongside educating and training both Students and experienced Professionals we also offer a range of production services, experiences, activities and our facilities, equipment and accommodation are available for rental too. 

Being a fully accredited Academic Institution, it’s possible for many
international students to study with us and gain access to our programmes and also study grants and loans to finance them via local and international educational bodies
including Lånkassen, NOKUT and Erasmus (See our FAQ for more details)

Our Team

The ISA’s team consists of instructors and experts from around the world. Many are experts in specific disciplines and fly in to teach modules, meaning our students study with the real heroes of stage and screen. 

While we aim for people leave us as ”Work Ready Experts”, our purpose is crystal clear, "We Make Heroes" ... That's what we do and we've been making them for 10 years.

John's experience in Stunt & Action Acting is extensive, both as a Performer and also as a Coordinator, Producer and Director, all around the globe. Following his successful career in Film & Live Entertainments, in 2012, John founded The ISA to follow his vision of creating the worlds’ first Academic Institution purely dedicated to Stunt Performance and Action Acting. Like many he saw that our industry needed better standards, formalised and recognised education and academic standards, and a better way for people to start out in the industry he loves.

Meet ‘The Coach’. Gavin has a unique background that spans extensive experience in Training, Conditioning and Mental Discipline, alongside a long career in Production and Creative Direction for many of the world's leading brands. Add to that his personal experience in the real world of action and pushing yourself to the limits (and sometimes beyond). Together all this brings something very unique to The ISA. He'll tell you he's here to help students "setup themselves up for success"

Flavia’s extensive industry experience is a fantastic boost for students as she helps to prepare them for not only how to act, but how to prepare to market themselves, prep for auditions and ways to network and kickstart their career.

Eric Roberts is a true legend of Action Acting having starred in numerous films over his extensive career. Eric splits his time between LA and The ISA, and like many in the industry he joins our team to ‘give back’ and help young people wanting to make their name in Action Acting. We’re incredibly proud to host Eric’s & Eliza Robert’s signature Acting School here at The ISA and we can’t think of better people for our students to study under.

Eliza Roberts (Yes, that’s Eric’s better half), is also a Hollywood legend in her own right and has a fascinating background and career in Acting, Casting and Talent Management. Eliza is the bedrock of our Acting Division and with her guidance and advice gained from an incredible career, true stars of Action Acting can be born. Alongside Eric, Eliza now shares her time between LA & The ISA here in Norway.

Michal’s incredible talents in not only Martial Arts but also Screen Acting Techniques help our students to adapt their fighting styles and Fight Choreography to be perfect for On-Screen work. His ability to spot detail, train actors on how to ‘sell to the camera’ and train others for incredible moves and sequences brings another special element to study at The ISA. With just one week of Michal’s classes the difference in any student or seasoned professional is very clear. Michal’s also one of the fastest and most dynamic fighters you’ll have the pleasure of witnessing.

Kita is one of those people who, once you study with her, you realise you always needed on your team. Kita’s not only a trained paramedic but also leads our Yoga and Self-Expression classes which are fantastic for preparing mind & Body for Stunt Performance, harder training, emotional expression in acting but also in soothing sore muscles at the end of a hard week training in The ISA gyms.

Tonny is a phenomenal athlete, having won many accolades and competitions in various Martial Arts, especially Taekwon-do and Muay Thai.

Johnny left the Police to follow his passion for crime writing and training and now leads the ISA Krav Maga devision, allowing students to train to Instructor standard and even go on to start their own ISA Krav Maga franchise after graduation. Johnny's experience in the real world of policing also enables him to add realism to his classes and fight choreography work.

Rasmus has already been a star of stage and screen having established himself in Acting, Theatre, Singing and Musical Studies. He joined the ISA to broaden his skill set and add Action Acting & Stunt performance to his repertoire to further his ambition "To be able to do everything". Nicolette joined the ISA after graduating from Liverpool (UK)'s LIPA with a degree in Dance Studies. She came to the ISA to build upon her skills in movement, precision and Choreography and to train in Stunt and Acton Acting in preparation for her future career in Film Stunts & Action Acting.

Bertan

Bertan returned to higher education after working in the IT industry. He is skilled in many Martial Arts and combat techniques and is especially skilled in Sword Fighting. He joined The ISA to further develop his physical and performance abilities and to increase his skills in adapting Martial Arts and Fighting for on-screen and camera work.
