Create the Perfect Self-Tape for Your Audition: A Step-by-Step Guide

If you want to be seen, you have to have something to show. Our course helps you develop a fantastic Self-Tape and Demo Reel, but here's a short guide to help you get started.

'Self-tapes' have become an industry standard for video auditions, allowing actors and performers to showcase their talents from home. Follow our step-by-step guide to create an impressive self-tape for your International Stunt Academy (ISA) audition.
A self-tape is an audition video that actors and performers create to introduce themselves and demonstrate their skills or act out a scene or monologue relevant to the role they're pursuing. Self-tapes replace traditional physical auditions, streamlining the process of finding and evaluating talent. Casting calls often request self-tapes before inviting applicants to final in-person auditions.
While professional self-tape services exist, you can easily record one at home. Self-tapes aren't meant to assess your filmmaking abilities; they're a simple snapshot of your performance skills.

To create your ISA Audition self-tape, include the following information:
  1. Your name, age, birthplace, and current residence
  2. A brief overview of your work or study background
  3. Your motivation for applying to train and study at the International Stunt Academy
  4. Why you believe you'll be a team player and enjoyable to work with
  5. Your goals for studying at ISA, such as becoming a certified action actor, stunt performer, or working in live action, film, or motion capture. Share your professional aspirations.

Note: In addition to your self-tape, you can provide links to separate videos or social media pages showcasing your skills. There's no need to edit everything into a single video file.
